Passport issued in Bengaluru and delivered at Mysuru within 24 hours!

Sir,

I submitted my Passport reissue application online through Thomas Cook India, Mysuru Office, a few days back as there were no pages left in my Passport because of my multiple foreign tours last five years.

I was allotted 9.30 am slot on Feb.20 for personal appearance at the Passport Office in Lalbagh, Bengaluru. The exercise of biometrics, photograph etc., at four different counters was over before 11 am.

I received a message on my cellphone by afternoon that my application was processed under post police inquiry.

I got another message before evening that my passport has been printed. By evening I received one more message that my passport has been dispatched by speed post.

Today (21.2.2020), my passport was delivered before noon by our postman. I just could not believe that this could happen in India or anywhere in the world — Process, Biometrics, photograph, print, speed post from Bengaluru and delivery at Mysuru, within 24 hours ! Kudos to all the persons involved in the process, particularly all the members of the staff at Passport processing office in Lalbagh. In case all the Government Departments function this way, India will supersede all in the world.
