Sir,
The Mysuru City Corporation has been kind enough to lay a 3 feet footpath with paver tiles in Mysuru’s extensions and one such beneficiary is the Temple Road in Jayalakshmipuram.
It is, however, sad to see educated people parking their four-wheelers and two-wheelers on the footpaths without realising that they are encroaching on the space meant for people to walk safely and comfortably.
I also find people driving and riding their vehicles on the paved footpath tiles using the same as a Service Road.
I request such people to refrain from parking and driving their vehicles on the footpaths and allow the footpaths to be used by pedestrians.
I suggest that the City Corporation authorities should fix some concrete or iron posts of about two feet high to prevent vehicles on footpaths.
