Pedalling for fuel conservation

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. LPG conducted a Cyclothon under SAKSHAM (Sanrakshan Kshamata Mahotsav) in city recently, which is the Government of India initiative on awareness of fuel conservation.

Approximately 200 participants have taken part in the rally. The cycle rally was held from Bannur Road to Foothills of Chamundi and back which is 5 kms cycle ride.

Chief guests were H. Kushi, an international Yoga exponent from Mysuru, B.N. Anil Kumar, basketball player from Mysuru and Arun Kumar, Manager of Mysuru Warriors Team.

From Bharat Petroleum LPG State Head Pradeep Nair and M.N. Rao from Bengaluru and Sales Officer LPG Mysuru Mahendra Dongre and Territory Manager Mysuru Depot PVG Rao were present.

Participants were school students, staff from all three Oil Companies and general public.

SAKSHAM is celebrated every year as an awareness programme on Fuel Conservation from Jan.16 to Feb.15. This year, it started in city with a Cyclothon in the first week itself. There will be many other activities from Oil Industry to spread awareness on importance of fuel conservation.
