Pedestrian injured as bus runs over leg

Mysuru: A pedestrian, who was standing near Surya Bakery Circle in Hebbal was severely injured when a KSRTC bus ran over his leg yesterday night.

The injured pedestrian, identified as 50-year-old Nagasundara of Hebbal has been admitted to K.R. Hospital here.

The KSRTC city bus (KA 09 F 4367) which came from Vidyavardhaka Engineering College side at about 7.50 pm yesterday, was taking a turn at Surya Bakery Circle towards Abhishek Circle when the rear wheel of the bus ran over Nagasundara who was standing near the circle resulting in him suffering severe leg injuries.

He was immediately rushed to K.R. Hospital. V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector Vivek and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and registered a case.

The public have urged the authorities concerned to prevent accidents at the circle, as it is small and very congested besides heavy movement of vehicles, which is making it difficult for the public even to cross the road.
