Accusing the Congress Government of rampant corruption and misrule, State BJP Backward Classes Morcha President B.J. Puttaswamy has said that most of the programmes that CM Siddharamaiah boasts of, have remained only on paper.
Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan yesterday, Puttaswamy said that the Congress Government had pushed the State to a debt trap by borrowing loans to the tune of Rs. 1,86,561 crore.
Lashing out at Siddharamaiah for doing little for AHINDA which he (CM) championed for coming to power, Puttaswamy alleged that the Congress Government had sanctioned only Rs. 57 crore for development of BC hostels, while the previous BJP Government had sanctioned Rs. 500 crore.
Stating that the BJP would use the Congress Government’s all-round failure as a trump card in its (BJP) campaign, he expressed confidence that the BJP would win both the Nanjangud and Gundlupet assembly seats with a comfortable margin.
