People For Animals (PFA) is organising a Pet Adoption Mela on Oct. 19 and 20 at its premises in Bogadi from 11 am to 4 pm. It’s an opportunity for those seeking a loving and loyal companion to bring home adorable kittens and puppies. Indian street dogs, often referred to as ‘desi dogs,’ are valued for their resilience, adaptability and genetic diversity. Unlike breed dogs, desi dogs are well-suited to thrive in various environments due to their strong survival instincts. With a natural resistance to local diseases, they tend to be healthier and less prone to many health issues that affect pure-bred dogs.
By adopting a street dog, one can not only gain a pet but also help reduce stray animal population and support PFA’s broader animal welfare initiatives.
