Federation to launch indefinite stir from Oct. 27
Mysuru: Petroleum dealers in city will observe ‘No Purchase and No Sale’ of fuels on Oct. 13 in city to support the call given by the United Petroleum Front to press the Centre to fulfil their demands.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, Federation of Mysuru Petroleum Traders President Shashikala Nagaraj said that petrol bunks in city would remain close from the midnight of Oct. 12 to the midnight of Oct. 13.
Their demands included implementation of Nov. 4, 2016 agreement with the National Association by all three Oil Marketing companies; Withdrawal of Daily Price Change; Withdrawal of MDG Amendments; To frame convenient rules for toilet maintenance; To provide proper automation at all retail outlets and to maintain automation properly and to introduce ‘One Nation One Rate’ of petroleum products by including it under GST.
Shashikala further said that if the Centre does not fulfil the demands the Federation would launch an indefinite stir from Oct. 27. Federation office-bearers and members Govindaraju, Narayanaswamy, Ranjith Hegde and others were present.
