Ph.D Awardees

Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Social Work to Shiddappa Madar for his thesis “Lambanis Out-Migration from Vijayapura District of Karnataka” submitted under the guidance of Dr.A.K. Mohan.

Pradeepkumar has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by UoM for his thesis “Sathyananda Pathrota Avara Sahithya” [Guide:  Dr.N.M. Talawar].

R. Suma has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by UoM for her thesis “Prachina Kannada Kavyagalali Prathinayakaru” [Guide: Dr.R.C. Devaraju].

R.S.  Ashwini has been awarded Ph.D degree in Kannada by UoM for her thesis “Chandrashekhara Kambara Avara Sahityadali Janapada Pragna” [Guide: Dr.M. Nanjaiah Honganuru].

M. Devika has been awarded Ph.D in Botany by UoM for her thesis “Evaluation of Antioxidant, Nootropic and Antidepressant Properties of Litsea Floribunda (BL.) Gamble (Lauraceae)” [Guide: Dr.M.S. Nalini].

G. Pavithra has been awarded Ph.D in Chemistry by UoM for her thesis “Synthesis, Characterisation of Pyruzole and Oxadiazine Derivatives and their Biological Activity” [Guide: Dr.K.  Ajay Kumar].

C.K. Honne Gowda has been awarded Ph.D in Mathematics by UoM for his thesis “Studies on Some Aspects of Combinatorial Number Theory” [Guide: Dr.R. Rangarajan].

JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, has awarded Ph.D in Biochemistry to Prashant Vishwanath for his thesis “An experimental study to evaluate the molecular mechanisms by which Momordica charantia (Bitter gourd) alters lipid levels and imparts anti-diabetic effects” submitted under the guidance of Dr.H. Basavanagowdappa.

Akila Prashant has been awarded Ph.D in Biochemistry by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, for her thesis “Isolation of cancer stem cells expressing the selected biomarkers from colorectal cancer and evaluating the therapeutic efficacy of Piper nigrum against these cancer stem cells” [Guide:   Dr. M.N. Suma].

B.S. Anjalidevi has been awarded Ph.D in Biochemistry by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, for her thesis “Identification and characterization of deregulated genes for the diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer” [Guide: Dr. M.V.S.S.T. Subbarao].

P. Sujatha has been awarded Ph.D in Biochemistry by JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, for her thesis “Therapeutic efficacy evaluation of diallyldisulfide in the treatment of breast cancers in vitro and in vivo” [Dr. M.V.S.S.T. Subbarao].
