Mysuru: An incident of pharmacist being robbed at knife point has been reported at Basavanapura in Vijayanagar 4th stage in city.
The incident occurred at about 10 pm on Friday, when Somashekar, the pharmacist, was returning home after closing his pharmacy for the day.
According to Somashekar, he was waylaid by a masked person near the Government School at Basavanapura, who threatened him at knife point and robbed him of his 16 gram gold chain and Rs. 3,000 cash before fleeing the spot. Soon, Somashekar informed the Police Control Room and Yelwal Police, who rushed to spot, conducted mahazar and conducted preliminary investigation. Somashekar, visited Yelwal Police Station and filed a complaint following which an FIR was registered.
