Mysuru: A pharmacy student committed suicide by hanging self in his room here last night.
The deceased student has been identified as Pavan Kumar (19), a first year pharmacy student at JSS College of Pharmacy and a native of Kanaganamaradi in Pandavapura taluk.
Pavan was staying at a room in Shivarathreeshwara Nagar here and was pursuing his studies.
The incident came to light this morning, following which N.R. Inspector Ashok Kumar and staff rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to JSS Medical College mortuary here.
N.R. Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
