H.V. Shankar Rao (95), a Philanthropist, who had served in various organisations, passed away at his Jayalakshmipuram residence here yesterday following brief illness.
He leaves behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites at Chirashantidhama today at 3 pm, according to family sources.
Shankar, who had served as Mahajana Education Society Secretary, was also the President of Sri Chandramouleshwara Temple in V.V. Mohalla, Vontikoppal Club, Babburkamme Seva Sangha and Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha.
He had also served as Lions International Deputy District Governor, Anathalaya Trust Managing Committee Member and Jayalakshmipuram’s Elder Citizen’s Council President.
