Philately Club at Vijaya Vittala

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Angel Raj, BDS – IPOS, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mysuru Division, inaugurated the Philately Club at Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala in Saraswathipuram here on Nov. 9. Speaking on the occasion, she underscored the educational and cultural importance of stamp collection. She encouraged the students to explore the world of stamps as a unique and educational hobby.

She advised them to invest their precious time in developing and enriching the hobby that they enjoy. It not only gives them joy but also propels them towards their goals. She praised the School’s initiative to establish the Philately Club and offered her support for its growth.

Club members elaborated on  their mission to promote the hobby of stamp collection and the rich historical and cultural knowledge that philately imparts.

R. Vasudev Bhat, Hon. Secretary of Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions, in his presidential address, encouraged the students to make the most of this enriching experience.

Chief guest Dr. Angel Raj, who distributed certificates and stamps to Club members, also honoured the School with a certificate of appreciation for promoting philately among students.

The event was a testament to the School’s commitment to holistic education, where students are encouraged to explore their interests and broaden their horizons through extracurricular activities like philately.
