Mysuru: – The physical test to recruit candidates for the post of Police Constable at District Armed Reserve Police Force (DAR) and Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) began at City Armed Reserve Police Parade Grounds located at the foothill of Chamundi Hill in city from Wednesday.
The test was conducted by Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Singh and Additional Superintendent of Police Sneha led by Inspector General of Police (IGP), Southern Range K.V. Sharathchandra. As many as 12,000 candidates will be appearing for the test from the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Kodagu. Tests will be held till Oct.12. Daily about 850 candidates are appearing for the test. Two kilometers running, long jump, high jump and shot-put tests was conducted. Candidates who pass in physical test will be recommended to write written examination.
The Department will recruit 517 Police Constables for Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) and another 296 Constables for Karnataka State Industrial Security Force.
Over 90 Police personnel are assigned to conduct the physical test. The Department has also ordered to videograph the physical test to maintain transparency. Sufficient drinking water, ambulance and emergency care facilities are in place.
