Plea to clear forest-like vegetation at vacant plots in Ramakrishnanagar

Sir,

This is to bring to the notice of the authorities concerned the dangers associated with a thick forest-like vegetation that has come up on two vacant residential plots (50×80 feet) on 6th Main road of Ramakrishnanagar E&F Block. This thick vegetation has become home to snakes and mongoose.

There are a few tall and thick trees with many creepers and thick vegetation around them. Three houses at the back of these plots (House Nos. 1025, 1026, 1027 and 1028 on 5th Main Road E&F Block, Ramakrishnanagar) are facing the repeated threat of snakes coming to house-yards. At least five such incidences of snakes climbing over the compound and entering the house-yards have been noticed in the last one year.

There are similar issues with many such vacant plots in the same road (in front of HOPCOMS). Since these vacant plots have been uncared for many years, people in the locality seem to use the plots as a dumping yard. These vacant plots need to be cleared of all the vegetation and any debris immediately in order to prevent any dangerous situation for the residents in the area. Since we do not know the whereabouts of the owners of these vacant plots on 6th Main, we cannot communicate with them.

I request the MCC authorities to make arrangements to clear all the vegetation and debris immediately from these vacant plots, and also instruct the owners of those plots to keep it clean.
