The fire lit to garbage dumped at a vacant site in Rajivnagar and also near Jaganmohan Palace in city are forcing the residents and school children to inhale toxic smoke emanating from it. While residents of Rajivnagar say that the vacant site has been a dumping yard since a year, the residents living in the surroundings of Jaganmohan Palace say that the smoke is not only causing problems to them but also to thousands of students studying at nearby schools and colleges. The residents have urged the authorities concerned to get the garbage cleared regularly and also instruct civic authorities to not light fire to the garbage.
