Mysore/Mysuru: The Joint Director of Agriculture has in a press release requested all small and marginal farmers of the district, who own below two hectares of land, to submit their applications in the prescribed form to receive the first instalment of Rs. 2,000 under the PM-Kisan Scheme.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme announced recently by the Centre will deposit Rs.6,000 in three instalments to the account of all marginal and small farmers holding less than two hectares of land. It is a Central Sector scheme with 100% funding from Government of India which was introduced on Dec. 1, 2018. The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
Farmers may avail the benefits under the Scheme by linking e-KYC to their bank accounts (Electronic-Know Your Customer). The last day to get the e-KYC done is Aug. 31.
It can be done at PM-Kisan portal by logging on to https://pmkisan.gov.in/. Click on e-KYC option available on right side of the page. Enter Aadhaar Card number of the beneficiary and captcha code before clicking on the search option. Enter the mobile number linked with the Aadhaar Card. Click on ‘Get OTP’ and enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number in the specified field. e-KYC will be successfully completed if all the information matches; if not, it will be rejected as invalid. In this case, beneficiaries may visit the nearby Citizen Service Centres who will help in linking-KYC.
