PM Modi should not make baseless  comments: B.K. Chandrashekar

Mysuru:  “As a Prime Minister, Modi should not make baseless comments. But, he is indulging in making derogatory remarks against former Prime Ministers, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and the Karnataka Government. He has called former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh as a traitor and has also commented on Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the country and has misused the Parliament by targeting individuals in his speech,” said former Minister B.K. Chandrashekar.

Addressing a press conference in city yesterday, Chandrashekar, who criticised PM Modi and other BJP leaders said that the PM and many BJP leaders were damaging the Indian federalism and democracy and added that PM Modi has no knowledge about history besides stating that the BJP was a threat to the country.

He said that it would be better if PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah stay away from Karnataka till the elections were over as they provoke violence through their statements and added that they would damage the peace in the State.

City Congress President R. Murthy and others were present.
