- Micro artist Nanjundaswamy displays his talent
- Seeks permission to present pencil to Modi today
Mysuru: A pencil graphite (lead) artist has carved the face of Prime Minister Narenda Modi very delicately on the tip of the pencil and hopes to present it to the PM when he visits the city this evening.
The Micro Artist is Nanjundaswamy who has carved the face of Modi very distinctly on the six inch pencil head. He has sought permission from MLA S.A. Ramdas to present it to Modi and has also approached the Police through the MLA for permission.
He has carved the figure in just two-and-a-half hours and has even carved Modi’s name in Kannada just below the face. He had exhibited his talent by carving it in 2015 itself and was hoping to present it to Modi when he was in Mysuru. However, due to security reasons he was not successful. Nanjundaswamy’s efforts to reach Modi through Twitter were also unsuccessful. He had preserved the pencil with him since then.
Now that PM Modi is visiting Mysuru again, Nanjundaswamy is making all efforts to see that he is successful this time at least and with this hope, he approached Ramdas. He hopes that in spite of strong security cover to the Prime Minister, he will get permission to present his pencil graphite art to Modi and fulfil his dreams.
