Mysore/Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his last election campaign for the coming Assembly elections on May 7 at Elachigere Bore village in Nanjangud Taluk, said  BJP Mysuru Division in-charge M.V. Ravishankar.

Giving details of the PM’s tour, at a press meet held at BJP Media Centre in city this noon, Ravishankar said that on May 7, Modi will reach the venue of the public meeting in a chopper at 4 pm and will campaign for BJP candidates and address the voters. “About one lakh people from 11 Constituencies of Mysuru district and 4 Constituencies of Chamarajanagar district will participate in the public function. Over 2,000 party workers from Nanjangud and Gundlupet will take part in a bike rally and reach the venue,” he added.

“I have toured the entire Mysuru district and everywhere I noticed a strong wind in favour of the BJP. People used to say that BJP has support only in urban areas and lack support in rural region. But now, BJP has very good support base even in rural areas. Party workers are upbeat as they are getting good response from the voters and BJP candidate V. Somanna is sure to win from Varuna Constituency. Siddharamaiah never used to bring film stars for his election campaign. But now he has brought film stars and also his family members for campaigning,” said Ravishankar.
