Mysuru: Mysore Sahitya and Samskruthika Prathishtana had organised a function at Rotary Hall on JLB Road here on Sunday to release ‘Bhavataranga’ and ‘Aralu Mallige’, a collection of poems written by S.A. Kamala Jain and C.V. Apoorva Jain. Releasing the books, M.C. Charanthimatha, Professor, Chamarajendra Sanskrit College, Bengaluru, appreciated women for excelling in literary field. However, he regretted that violence and harassment had become rampant in society and selfless service had literally gone extinct.
On the occasion, awards were conferred on achievers in various fields. The awardees are: Vidu. C. Vilasakumari Sharma (Gayana Saraswathi), Vidu. Mithra Naveen (Natya Saraswathi), Anandakumar (Social Service), Prof. N. Girigowda (Samskrutika Seva Ratna), Dr. S. Aruna Prakash, Prema Mahaveer and Prof. Nittur Devendrakumar (Shikshana Ratna).
NMP Academy Chairperson Dr. C. Thejovati, Prathishtana President M.B. Santosh, General Secretary M.N. Jayanthi, Vice-President N.C. Mamatha, Treasurer D. Manjunath, Joint Secretary Rekha Santosh, Organising Secretary B.R. Vijayashri Nataraj, Convenor S. Dutta and others were present.
