Even as senior Congress leader and former Mysuru-Kodagu MP A.H. Vishwanath lashed out at the KPCC for issuing a notice for his reported remarks against the congress leadership, at a meeting of his followers in Mysuru yesterday, two other senior Congress leaders -Janardhan Poojary and C.K. Jaffer Shariff have hit out at the former MP for bringing Siddharamaiah into the party fold when he (Siddharamaiah) was at the political cross roads after being expelled from the JD(S).
The two leaders, who were also issued notice by the KPCC along with Vishwanath claimed that it was Vishwanath who played a key role in bringing Siddu into the Congress fold after convincing S.M. Krishna, who was then the Maharashtra Governor.
Once joining the party, Siddharamaiah targeted senior Congress leaders and other old timers. Also, Siddu formed his own coterie to discredit senior leaders within the party, they said.
