Mysuru: The Department of Posts is providing Parcel Booking Service and to facilitate e-commerce market, cash and delivery facility has been introduced. The Department is also offering free pick-up service for bulk customers with good discounts.
A tracking system is also introduced for the parcel service. Parcels up to 35 kg will be classified under three categories — business parcel, express parcel and speed post and despatched to all parts of the country. Parcels weighing above 35 kg will be sent through logistic post.

Postal service agents
To provide postal service at doorstep, the Postal Department has decided to outsource the facility through authorised service agents in designated extensions to take care of postal service like registered post, speed post and parcel service.
All the process will uploaded on the internet.
Every authorised agent will be assigned to a particular Post Office. Other than family members of postal employee, any person or agency can take up the contract.
