Mysuru: The two-day Nation-wide general strike called by Trade Unions on Jan.8 and 9 in protest against the Union Government’s anti-labour policies, has received support from Postal employees, with the All India Postal Employees Association deciding to take part in the strike.
The Postal employees are pressing for fulfilment of their 17-point charter of demands, which include snapping of New Pension Scheme (NPS) and continuance of old pension scheme, implementation of the recommendations of Kamlesh Chandra Report among others, according to a release issued by Joint Action Committee (JAC) Mysuru President C.R. Dheenabandhu.
