Mysore/Mysuru: The 4th Mysuru Literary Fest-2023 has been organised by Mysore Literary Association (MLA) at Maharaja’s College Centenary Hall in city on Jan. 22 (Sunday). Capt. G.R. Gopinath, soldier, farmer and entrepreneur, will inaugurate the Fest at 10 am.
Announcing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan in city this morning, Association President Prof. K.C. Belliappa, who is also the former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, said: “Mysore Literary Association, founded in 2016, aims at promoting literary activities and conduct festivals to enrich English studies in the royal city. It has so far held numerous literary events including three Mysuru Literary Fests in 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively. Now after a hiatus of more than two years owing to COVID-19 pandemic, the fourth Literary Fest is being held.”
Dr. Deepti Navaratna, Neuro Scientist and author, Prakash Belawadi, actor and director, Prof. H.S. Shivaprakash, poet and playwright and Dr. Abhimanyu Acharya, actor and educationist will take part in the 4th Literary Fest, he added.
Association Vice-President Prof. B.N. Balajee, who too spoke, said that English Literature students, Lecturers and Professors have been invited to attend the Literary Fest by registering themselves for free. Invitation has been extended to students, Lecturers and Professors of Mandya, Madikeri and Hassan too, he said adding that interested public too can take part in the Festival. The Literary Fest will have a Question & Answer session as well, he said.
Association Hon. Secretary Reginald Wesley, EC Member Prof. Anita Vimla Braggs and Prof. V.S. Shekhar were present at the press meet.
