Poster presentation by city-based NGO at Asian Pacific Conference

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Vijaya Srinivas, Senior Research Physician and Anisa Khan, a Ph.D scholar from city-based Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII), who were invited to participate in Asian Pacific Organisation on Cancer Prevention (APOCP 11) Conference, hosted by the Cancer Foundation of India,  at Kolkata recently, presented their research works through poster presentations.

While Dr. Vijaya presented a poster on ‘Valuating the feasibility of utilising enhanced visual assessment (EVA) application in community cervical cancer screening programme in rural Mysore, India,’ Anisa Khan presented a poster on ‘Co-occurrence of bacterial vaginosis  with high-risk HPV infection among women living with HIV in Mysore, lndia.’

There were 24 plenary talks, 40 free paper presentations and 64 poster presentations at the Conference.

Founded as a non-profit Charitable Trust, PHRII has been recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of lndia.
