In a letter written to the Minister, Marithibbegowda, who represents South Teachers Constituency, said that lecturers serving in ‘C’ Zone in Government  PU Colleges have been asked to apply online for special cases transfer. But this transfer can be taken up after general transfer process is complete, he said and sought the Minister to defer the special cases transfers in the interests of the teaching fraternity.

Pointing out that the general transfers in the Department has not happened for the past four years, he said that this delay has caused a lot of hardship for most of the lecturers.

Demanding the Government to assign place of work for the newly-appointed 1,203 PU lecturers, Marithibbegowda also wanted the Government  to fill up 350 vacant Principal posts in  the Department.
