Mysuru: Proper communication by the millennium teachers is the hallmark of successful classroom management, said Dr. N. N. Prahallada, former Faculty, RIE Mysore while delivering a special lecture on “Classroom Management for the Teachers of Maharshi Public School” at the school premises in city recently.
Dr. Prahallada said entering into 21st century does not mean a simple shift of calendar year. Rather teachers should equip themselves with updated knowledge and latest methodology to face millennium students with ease and comfort.
Students in the contemporary context are exposed better to various aspects of new knowledge compared to traditional students. Hence, teachers must be proactive to face the challenges of millennium classroom, he said.
The success of teacher depends on his/her ability to prove that they are proud to be teachers, he added.
T. Lakshmi, Principal and Vanishree, Head Mistress, were present. As many as 70 teachers participated in the programme.
Dr. G.R. Prakash, former Chemistry Faculty, RIE, was the co-ordinator of the programme.
