Prabhulingaleele’ Vaachana-Vyaakhyaana is being presented by Parampare from May 13 to 23 at Mysore K. Vasudevacharya Bhavan (Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha) daily from 6 pm to 8 pm. The highlights of last five days are as follows:
May 19 (6 pm): Vachana Gayana by Chudamani, a degree student of Mysuru; ‘Ishtalinga mattu praanalingopadesha’ Vaachana by Gamaki Kru. Ramachandra, a retired engineer. He is the son of late Sri Krishnagiri Krishna Rao, a famous gamaki of yesteryears. He has been active with Kaavyaranjani Sabha, which is conducting gamaka programmes regularly. Vyaakhyaana by Sri Siddharama Sharanaru Beldaala. He has been well-known as Beldaala Sharanaru. He comes from downtrodden society and was initiated into spirituality by Sri Channabasava Pattaddevaru of Bhalki. He has been working for the upliftment of rural people by running Basava Yogashrama in Koutha, Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district. He has been running Maadaara Channayya Prasada Nilaya and also established many schools, Colleges and rural hospitals. His commentaries on Vachanas and Shunya Sampadane have earned him fame. He has been known as real Sharana of present days.
May 20 (6 pm): Vachana Gayana by Vidu. Sunanda Dileep. ‘Mahadeviyakkanige Prabhu Prasannavaadudu’ Vaachana by Mahima Kashyap, a degree student of University College of Music and Performing Arts, Mysuru. Vyaakhyaana by Vidu. Dr. Jyothi Shankar, Assistant Professor in KSOU. Good orator and known for her fluent Vyaakhyaanas, she has been writing many sangeetha and nritya rupakas. She recently presented Aadipurana Nritya Rupaka penned by her.
May 21 (6 pm): Vachana Gayana by Shaila Siddaramappa; ‘Goraksha Prasanga’ Vaachana by Vid. Yashaswi Tumkur, lecturer in violin. Vyaakhyaana by Dr. P.V. Narayana, a retired Professor from Vijaya College, Bengaluru. Vachana adhyayana is special field of interest. He has authored 19 books.
He has translated classical works like Aadipurana, Dharmamrutha and Pamparamayana into modern Kannada. He has also written nine novels. His novel dharmakaarana has fetched him Aaryabhata Prashasti.
May 22 (6 pm): ‘Anubhava Mantapa’ Gamaka Rupaka (Concept and Direction: Vid. R.S. Nandakumar).
Dr. Nandakumar is a musicologist of repute, expert in lakshya lakshana in Karnataka Sangeetha. He has received his D.Lit from Hampi University. He has been awarded Senior Fellowship by Central Government.
May 23 (6 pm): Vachana Gayana by members of Sharada Devi Mahila Samaja. ‘Shunyasimhasanarohana’ Vaachana by Vid. Khaseem Malligemadavu. An upcoming gamaki, he is running a music school in Bengaluru. Vyaakhyaana by Prof. Maleyuru Guruswamy, a retired Professor of JSS institution. A good orator, he has been elected as the President of Chamarajanagar Jilla Sahitya Parishat and Sharana Sahitya Parishat. He is the editor of JSS Magazine ‘Prasada’ for a long time. He has more than 35 books to his credit.
