Mysuru: “Prabhulingaleele is a method to clearly qualify and quantify the inner knowledge of a person,” opined Dr. Gurulinga Kapase, retired Kannada Professor of Karnataka University, Dharwad.
He was speaking at a unique Vaachana-Vyaakhyaana on ‘Prabhulingaleele,’ delivering the first discourse, organised by Parampare at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here last evening.
Dr. Gurulinga Kapase observed that every person featured in ‘Prabhulingaleele’ had a unique stature and added that everyone of them was attracted to yoga which gradually has become a huge philosophy.
He pointed out that Chamarasa was literally a ‘Yogakavi.’ He contended that ‘Prabhulingaleele’ was virtually a treasure of spirituality.
Earlier to the discourse, Shilpashree of Bengaluru rendered Vachana Gayana. Incidentally, Dr. Gurulinga Kapase, a nonagenarian at 91, was also the Chairman of Kannada Sahitya Academy. He was said to be the Guru of Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji in the latter’s Purvashrama.
Adichunchanagiri Mutt Mysuru Branch Head Sri Somanatha Swamiji graced the occasion. Writer T.V. Venkatachala Shastri and others were present.
Today’s programme at 6 pm features Vachana Gayana by Music Teacher B. Bharathi followed by Vaachana on ‘Parvathiya Prathigne’ by Senior Gamaki and Music Teacher from Bengaluru Suma Prasad. Later retried Professor from Dharwad Veeranna Rajur will deliver a Vyaakhyaana.
