Congress leader calls for maximum turnout of party workers
Mysore/Mysuru: With the Congress party’s ambitious Statewide ‘Prajadhwani Yatra’ set to arrive in Mysuru tomorrow (Jan. 26), senior party leader and a prominent Congress ticket aspirant from Chamundeshwari Assembly segment K. Marigowda has asked party workers of the Constituency to take part in large numbers at the party rally to take place at J.K. Grounds here tomorrow.
Addressing a meeting of Congress workers of Chamundeshwari Assembly segment at Puneet Convention Hall in Ramakrishnanagar here yesterday, Marigowda thanked the party workers for the overwhelming success of the party rally held at Lingadevarakoppal on Yelwal Road on Jan. 20.
Pointing out that ‘Prajadhwani Bus Yatra,’ which was launched by KPCC earlier this month ahead of Assembly polls, is scheduled to arrive in Mysuru from Chamarajanagar, he said that a rally will be held at J.K. Grounds at 3 pm tomorrow and party workers from Chamundeshwari Assembly segment should attend in large numbers so as to send out a message to rival political parties.
Stating that there are 337 Booths in the Constituency, he said that a 13-Member Committee has been formed for every Booth.
Maintaining that the Congress is committed for the welfare and upliftment of all sections of the society, Marigowda asked the party workers to reach out the welfare schemes launched by the Siddharamaiah Government five years ago to every household.
Party leader Mavinahalli Siddegowda, Koorgalli Mahadev, Beerihundi Basavanna, T.B. Chikkanna, Krishnakumar Sagar, Mellahalli Mahadevaswamy, Nagarathna, Bhagya Lokesh, Bandipalya Basavaraju, Jogi Siddaiah, Narayana, Siddaraju and others were present.
