Prajwal goes down in final qualifying round

City’s upcoming tennis player S.D. Prajwal Dev taking part in the India F5 $15,000 Futures Men’s Tennis Tournament being held at KSLTA, Bengaluru, went down in the final qualifying round in the men’s singles event yesterday.

In the final round, Kunal Anand of India beat S.D. Prajwal Dev 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 and entered the main draw of the tournament. Other city lads, Suraj R. Prabodh and C. Vasisht have been given wild cards into the main draw of the men’s singles event.

In the first round of the main draw of the men’s singles event, Suraj will meet Kunal Anand, while C. Vasisht will take on Karunudhay Singh.

In the men’s doubles event, C. Vasisht & S.D. Prajwal Dev will take on M. Arjun & Dhakshineshwar Suresh in the first round while Suraj R Prabodh and B.R. Nikshep will take on top-seeds Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan.
