Bengaluru: While the Special Investigation Team (SIT) endeavours to secure custody of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, it appears that his return to the country will likely be postponed until after the Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka conclude on Tuesday.
Following the public release of explicit videos, reports indicate that Prajwal, aged 33, departed to Frankfurt, Germany, on Apr. 27, a day after Phase II of the Lok Sabha elections. As the incumbent MP from Hassan, it is believed that Prajwal subsequently travelled to Dubai.
“In the light of remaining 14 LS seats scheduled for polling on May 7, JD(S) and BJP leadership have delayed his return… he is expected to arrive in India on the intervening nights of Tuesday and Wednesday,” sources said.
Initially to return on the nights of May 3 and 4, Prajwal postponed his arrival until May 6. However, with Phase IV polling on May 13, there is speculation regarding whether Prajwal will postpone his return further, potentially until the intervening nights of May 15 and 16.
