Mysore/Mysuru: A well-equipped ‘Nacharamma Sabha Bhavan’ built by Kowshika Sankethi Sangha at Jayanagar 2nd Main Road in city was inaugurated on Sunday by member of Mysore royal family Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.
Speaking after inaugurating the new building built in the premises of Kowshika Sankethi Boys Hostel, she said that Kowshika Sankethi Sangha, which was formed in 1944 has built a well-equipped Bhavan to commemorate its platinum jubilee year and is very appreciable.
“The Kowshika Sankethi community which migrated from Kerala to Mysuru later, moved to Shivamogga and other places. The community achi-eved significant progress with emphasis on agriculture and education,” she added.
Stating that the Sangha has been giving student scholarships to deserving students, Pramoda Devi said, “The Sangha is helping the students for their education. The students of this hostel after completing their higher education migrate to foreign countries leaving behind their aged parents. Keeping this in mind the Sangha is also providing a helping hand to aged people.”
Kowshika Sankethi Sangha President M.N. Anantha, presided. Sangha’s Mysore Zonal President R.S. Padma-nabha, Vice-President A.V. Sridharamurthy, General Secre-tary B.N. Raghunath and others were present.
