Mysuru: The groups led by the Bank’s former President Pratidhwani Prasad and former Vice-President B. Basavaraju (Basappa) swept the polls in the election held to the Board of Directors (2024-29) of the city’s Krishnarajendra (K.R.) Co-operative Bank (located at Agrahara circle), at Hardwicke High school near Ramaswamy circle on JLB road in the city yesterday.
Those elected as Directors are — Arun, Ganesh Murthy Thayur, Navin Kumar, Nagajyothi Prasad, Nam. Siddappa, Parthasarathy, G.M. Panchakshari, Pratidhwani Prasad, Basavaraj Basappa, H.V. Bhaskar, Shivaprakash and H.N. Sarvamangala.
Local leaders Daripura D. Chandrashekar, D.P. Suresh, B.M. Paramesh, Ramaraje Urs, Shivamurthy, Hadajana Lingaraju, S.Mahadevaswamy and M.M. Mahadevappa congratulated the winners. Among the winners, Prathidhwani Prasad and Nagajyothi Prasad are a couple , while Nam.Siddappa and Arun are father-son duo.
Expressing happiness about the results, D. Basavaraju( Basappa) said that his faction had launched a brisk and extensive campaign among the Bank members for nearly a month. He was thankful to the members for the emphatic victory of all the members of his team, he added.
