Mysore/Mysuru: Now, silk products being sold in the name of Mysore Silk Factory Outlet has come to the notice of Silk Weaving Factory, Manandavadi Road in the city.
In a press release, the General Manager of Silk Weaving Factory stated that the original brand name of Mysore Silk Factory Outlet is being duplicated in some of the textile shops in the city to sell their silk products to customers.
Hence, it is clarified that no silk products manufactured in the factory are supplied to any private textile shops.
The only five factory-owned authorised Mysore Silk Showrooms are located in the premises of Silk Weaving Factory, Manandavadi Road, Ph: 0821-2480801; Zoo complex, Indiranagar, Ph: 0821-2445502; Visvesvaraya Bhavan, K.R. Circle, Ph: 0821-2422658; Mayur Yatri Nivas, JLB Road, Ph:0821-2420713 and No. 140, First Floor, Kalidasa Road, near Chandrakala Hospital, Jayalakshmipuram, Ph: 0821-2001622.
All these showrooms will be open between 10.30 am and 7.30 pm including on Sundays.
Barring these authorised showrooms of the factory, the other textile shops using the logo and name of the institution (Mysore Silk Factory Outlet) to sell their products is prohibited.
The customers are hereby informed that they should buy silk products from the authorised showrooms and not get cheated by buying duplicate silk products, added the press release.
