Prize-winners of SYMBIOT 2024

24-Hour National Hackathon held at VVCE

Mysore/Mysuru: Gulshan Purswani, Delivery Head at Bosch Global Software Technologies, inaugurated 24-hour National-level Hackathon organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) in collaboration with IoTCrew and IEEE SYMBIOT 2024.

Participants from colleges from across the State took part in the National Hackathon to tackle real-world challenges through innovative solutions.

The event featured 103 teams, comprising over 400 talented individuals ready to demonstrate their creative prowess and lively audience of more than 1,000 enthusiasts and supporters, bringing the total footfall to over 1,500.

Best Women’s Team: Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Mysuru.

Top-quality projects were evaluated by judges from renowned start-ups, ensuring a high standard of competition.

The winning team received rewards worth Rs. 2.5 lakh, including a Rs. 30,000 cash prize, subscriptions and the esteemed Rolling Trophy. The First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up positions also came with significant prizes and recognition.

Special awards were presented for the Best Idea and the Best Women’s Team, each received a cash prize of Rs. 7,500, subscriptions and trophies.

SYMBIOT 2024 landmark event showcased the innovative spirit and technical acumen of students from across the State. The Hackathon continued for 24 hours, pushing participants to deliver their best under the pressure of time.

Vidyavardhaka Sangha Secretary P. Vishwanath, Treasurer Shreeshaila Ramannavar, Principal (in-charge) Dr. L.J. Sudev, ECE Head C.M. Patil and Co-ordinator A. Geethashree were also present during the  inaugural session.
