Mysore/Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies (VIIS), an initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) and Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, had jointly organised the 13th Annual Sulochana Pattabhiraman Utsavam recently at the Institute premises in Hebbal here.
Dr. Rohitha Eshwer was the chief guest. S. Praveen Kumar presided. There was a musical event by the winners of the Classical Music competition which was held on Sept. 25.
The following are the prize winners of various contests held as part of the Annual Sulochana Pattabhiraman Utsavam:
Vocal recital: Chilkunda Aruna Thyagaraju (first), Poorvitha Dinesh (second), P. Prerana and Nayana Nagaraju (third).
Percussion instrument: Malladi Aravind (first), Atri Koushik (second), Sumu-kashesha and Sudarshan R. Srinivas (third).
String instrument: C.V. Shruthi (first), Aprameya Karthik (second) and P. Prerana (third).
Wind instrument: K.P. Pranav (first), Yashas N. Kashyap (second) and Haricharan Hosamane (third).
Essay competition: U.S. Prajwal (first), Biligiri (second) and Gowri (third).
Drawing competition: Madhesh (first), Sunil Kalkir and Abhishek (second), Sandeep Kumbrel and Nikhilkumar (third), according to a press release from Dr. S. Rekha, VIIS Director.
