Mysur: GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), KRS Road, Mysuru, had organised a function to distribute prizes for Best Papers of ‘National Conference on Electronics, Signals and Communication (NCESC) – 2017’ recently, in association with IETE Mysuru Centre and International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA).
The Conference Programme Committee, after a review process, selected 140 Technical Papers for presentation in the conference. The papers were categorised into 11 different domains like communication system, VLSI and embedded system, Speech Processing, Image Processing and so on.
The session chairs Dr. Geetha Kiran, Special Officer, VTU, Belagavi, Prof. C.R. Rachana, Mahajana PG Centre, Mysuru, Dr. R.K. Bharathi, Associate Professor, SJCE, Mysuru, Dr. Rajashekarappa, SDMCET, Dharwad, E. Muthuswamy and T.R. Kiran Kumar from Automotive Axles Ltd., Mysuru, Jamuna, Ranjana, from BSNL, RTTC, Mysuru, Manjunath Kikkeri, Managing Director, Iquest, Mysuru, Tejas Bengali and Shashidhar Kulkarni, from Skanray Technologies, Mysuru, to this programme were invited to judge the “Best Paper Prize” for each domain. On the occasion, certificates were distributed to the winners and participants.
The eleven Best Paper titles are as follows:
- ‘Design & Simulation of IRSNS receiver in simulink’ by RV College – Bengaluru – Best paper in Communication System.
- ‘Design & implementation of 1bit Full adder using CPL styles’ by GSSSIETW, Mysuru and ‘FPGA based universal coding’ SITAR, Channapatna – Best paper in VLSI & Embedded System.
- ‘Design & development of nanobots for cancer cure applications in bio-medical engineering’ by DSCE, Bengaluru – Best paper in Speech Processing.
- ‘Three Dimensional Scanning and Imaging of Miniature Objects’ by Canara Engineering College and ‘ECG & PPG data capture using novel there lead electrode & Photodiode’ by VVCE, Mysuru – Best papers in Image Processing.
- ‘IoT based Prepaid/Postpaid Energy Metering System’ SAIT and Generation of Virtual environment for haptic (VR) applications’ by SDM College of Engg. & Tech Dharwad – Best Paper in Cloud Computing and Internet of Things.
- ‘A case study of a blue brain working on the neural network concepts’ by DSCE, Bangaluru – Best paper in Wireless and Mobile Communication Networks and ANN.
- ‘Design and Implementation of GLRT detector for RADAR for low SNR signals’ by RVCE, Bengaluru – Best Paper in Microwave & Radar, Microprocessor and Micro Controllers.
- ‘SMART RAILWAY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM’ by Sambhram Institute of Technology, Bengaluru – Best paper in Control Systems & Robotics.
Participants from various Engineering Colleges along with chief guest Dr. Sundaresan Krishnan Iyer, Principal – Infosys Education, Dept. of Training and Assessment, Infosys, Mysuru and guest of honour Vishwaprasad Alva, Managing Director, SKANRAY, Mysuru, Session Chairs and Organising Chairs, Dr. B.D.
