940 students to graduate; 96 to receive Gold Medals and Endowment Awards tomorrow
Mysuru: The 7th Graduation Day of National Institute of Engineering (NIE) will be held at NIE Diamond Jubilee Sports Complex on Manandavadi Road here on Aug. 19 at 11am.
Prof. Anurag Kumar, Director, IISc., Bengaluru, will be the chief guest and deliver the Graduation Day address. Asha Prakash, Operations Director, HCL Technologies Ltd, Bengaluru and Distinguished Alumna of NIE, will be the guest of honour and present the Gold Medals and Endowment Awards. Srinath Batni, President, NIE, will preside.
In all, 940 students of the autonomous scheme will be graduating and awarded the provisional degree certificates.
On the occasion, 31 BE, 20 M.Tech, three MCA rank holders and five Ph.D awardees will be awarded Gold Medals while 37 students will be receiving Endowment Awards.
Omegali (Civil Engineering) and B.R. Gowri (Computer Science and Engineering) will receive more than four Endowment Gold Medals each.
