Programme on sports injury prevention and management in city on Feb. 28

Mysore/Mysuru: GCs Sports Medicine Centre and Multispeciality Hospital, Mysuru, in association with the Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore (UoM), has organised a Sport of Life initiative – Dugout Programme, to provide insights on sports injury prevention and management on Feb. 28 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the University of Mysore Cricket Ground in city.

Dr. R. Girish Chandra will share his technical knowledge on the subject with the coaches, sportsperson and faculty members.

The session aims to empower the basic technical knowledge on sports injury intervention, management and prevention.

In Mysuru, Dr. Girish Chandra of GCs Sports Medicine Centre and Multispeciality Hospital has partnered with Abhinav Bindra Foundation Trust with the intention to support the growing sports ecosystem in the State. Since its launch, the Sport of Life initiative has successfully facilitated surgeries across 11 different sporting disciplines and impacting athletes from 10 different geographical locations.

The initiative has successfully conducted outreach and informative sessions across six cities empowering and educating 730 athletes on injury management, prevention and rehabilitation till date. For details, contact Mob: 99865-09071, according to a press release.
