Protestors demand immediate repair of Azeez Sait Road

Mysore/Mysuru: Alleging that most of the roads in N.R. Assembly segment are dotted with potholes, members of SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) staged a demonstration near Ek Minar Masjid on Azeez Sait Main Road, seeking immediate repair of the road, which is in a very bad shape.

Maintaining that many roads in N.R. Assembly Constituency are in poor condition, the protestors claimed that the crater-like potholes on Azeez Sait Main Road (Mahadevapura Main Road) pose a serious threat to the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike. As such, the authorities must take immediate steps to fill up all potholes in a scientific manner,  they urged.

Contending that many motorists have sustained injuries in mishaps caused by bad condition of the road, they said that the situation will be far more worse when it rains, with pedestrians finding it difficult to even walk.

Demanding the authorities to repair the deteriorated road in a week, they warned of laying siege to the MCC Main Office and as well as to the residence of N.R. MLA, if it is not done.

SDPI office-bearers Amjad Khan, Mohammad Zaheer, Mohammad Shafi, Nooruddin Farooq, Firdous, Tabraiz Sait, Mohammad Junaid, former Corporator Swamy and others took part in the protest.
