Sir,
We understand that doubling of tracks between Bengaluru and Mysuru has been completed along with electrification of Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru corridor. We are also happy to note the introduction of new Humsafar Express and extension of Anubhuti service till May for Shatabdi.
As doubling of the tracks and electrification is now successfully completed, the Railway authorities are now requested to consider providing commercial stoppage to three more Express trains which do not presently halt at Kengeri Railway Station —, that is Mysuru – Ajmer Express, Mysuru – Jaipur Express and Mysuru – Howrah Express (bound to Bengaluru originating from Mysuru). Such a positive step will help ensure better connectivity between the cities and beyond from Kengeri itself.
Further this move will also ease burden on present Bengaluru Railway Station and will help people to connect to residential areas near Kengeri Station.
It should also be noted that certain long-distance trains originating from Mysuru like Mysuru – Sai Nagar Shirdi Express, Mysuru -Varanasi Express and Mysuru -Darbhanga Bagmati Express also have a facility of commercial stoppage at Kengeri.
Hence the authorities concerned are requested to consider this suggestion of providing a brief commercial stoppage at Kengeri Railway Station for three more trains.
