This is to draw the attention of the officials concerned to provide road humps at Sankranthi Circle as it is very busy with vehicular traffic during peak hours.
Earlier, there were humps on either side of the main road — one in front of Karnataka Bank and the other near Senior Citizens Recreation Centre. However, when the road was asphalted after laying main water pipeline, these humps were removed and the concerned Department officers never bothered to install the road hump even though this matter was brought to the notice of the area Corporator.
Youngsters riding two-wheelers never bother to slow down the speed at this junction. Already a few minor accidents have taken place near the milk booth due to rash and negligent driving.
Recently, road humps were laid at Abhishek Circle in Hebbal after an accident in which a boy had lost his life.
I request the authorities concerned to consider installing road humps at Sankranthi Circle also so that major accidents can be avoided and precious lives saved.
