Mysuru: With just 16 days left for this year’s Dasara festival, the authorities have taken up the works of pruning the tree branches protruding towards the road on the Jumboo Savari route.
The works have been taken up by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and CESC employees where a hydraulic machine is being used to prune the tree branches which were causing hindrance for illumination and installation of Hasiru Chappara (Green Pandal) on Sayyaji Rao Road. Second round of pruning will be taken up after the authorities start Dasara procession rehearsals installing the wooden howdah on the elephants. They have ensured that only those branches which pose threat to howdah are being pruned.
