Public asked to complain on collection of excess fee for Gruha Jyothi registration

Mysore/Mysuru: The registration for the Government’s Gruha Jyothi scheme (200 Units of free power every month to all eligible households) can be done at all KarnatakaOne, GramaOne and Cyber Centres across the district. The Government has fixed the registration fee at Rs.20 for each application.

Following complaints that some Cyber Centres are collecting more money from the applicants,  Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra has warned such Cyber Centres against collecting excess fee over and above Rs.20. The members of the public can complain at the DC Office along with proof for demand of excess money, according to a press release.
