Mysore/Mysuru: As part of grand Dasara festivities, the Mysuru Puppet Theatre (MPT) has organised puppet show at its premises in No. 26, 1st Cross, J.C. Nagar here from today (Sept. 26) till Oct. 5.
The main storylines on all nine days are Srikrishna Parijata, Srikrishna Tulabhara, Narakasura Vadhe and Durgastuti.
The Master puppeteer late M.R. Ranganatha Rao had been practicing this puppetry by hereditary and has performed in many national and international platforms. He established the ‘Mysuru Puppet Theatre’ by teaching this art form perfectly to his grandson Rangoli Srikanta in Mysuru.
