Queens Virtual Skill Fest from today

Mysore/Mysuru: Queens School of Design – Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Kuvempunagar, is celebrating ‘Queens Virtual Skill Fest 2020‘ as part of World Youth Skills Day from today till July 25.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Skill Day celebrations will be Virtual/ Online to facilitate the public to visit the exhibition and participate in the competition from the comfort of their homes. The competitions are open to people of all age groups. 

The exclusive features of Skill Fest will be the display of students’ work, 3D printed garments, garments and artefacts made from Water Soluble Fabric, lights & Style-garments using lights. The theme for the competition is ‘Recycle the Present and Save the Future.’ 

The theme is selected so that the participants can use the materials available in their house, thus staying indoors, without venturing out to purchase the materials.

Some the topics are: Innovative design using 3 to 5 different materials; Texture painting on ‘Life during COVID’, Design your ideas for differently abled people to make their life easier, Restoration/ Remodelling anything from old to new and  Refresh your forgotten skills (age group – 50 years and above).
