My name is speculative: Gopalkrishna Gandhi
Mysuru: The race for the President of India’s post is hotting up as the term of Pranab Mukherjee ends on July 25, 2017. One of the names doing the rounds is that of Gopalkrishna Gandhi (in pic), grandson of Mahatma Gandhi.
Star of Mysore had sent him a SMS message asking him whether it was true that Opposition parties to field him as their Presidential candidate had approached him. In reply, Gopalkrishna Gandhi said, “It is mostly speculative as of now.”
Gandhi, who has donned many hats, as an administrator, diplomat, former Governor of West Bengal, was conferred the Bharat Ratna Dr S. Radhakrishnan Award for Social Sciences by the University of Mysore (UoM) during the valedictory of the Centenary Celebrations of the University, last year.
