Mysuru: Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in city kicked off the holiday season with a joyful and vibrant cake-mixing ceremony attended by hotel guests. This annual tradition marked the beginning of the festive preparations for Christmas, bringing together the community in a shared celebration of anticipation and cheer.
The ceremony commenced with the distribution of gloves, tissue, aprons and Santa caps, creating a festive atmosphere and ensuring that all guests were ready to partake in the joyous occasion. An array of ingredients, meticulously prepared and presented on a grand 24-foot-long table, awaited the eager participants. The myriad of chopped, grated and sliced dried fruits, including cherries, dates and plums, were unveiled to the delight of the attendees.
Guests enthusiastically mixed the ingredients, immersing themselves in the traditional ritual that transforms simple elements into the rich, aromatic batter that will become the hotel’s signature Christmas cake. The batter will undergo a fermentation process lasting a month, enriching its flavours in time for baking and distribution during the Christmas festivities.
“Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Mysuru is proud to uphold this cherished tradition, embodying the spirit of the season and fostering a sense of community and togetherness among its guests. The hotel looks forward to sharing the fruits of this labour of love with all during the upcoming Christmas celebrations,” said B. Harikumar, General Manager of the Hotel.
