Mysuru: RAGI-2018, a technical extravaganza on ‘Recent Advances in Geotechnics for Infrastructure’ is being conducted at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysuru, on March 3.
The workshop, jointly organised by Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (ACCE), Mysore Centre, Indian Geotechnical Society, Bengaluru Chapter, SJCE and NIE under TEQIP III initiative, is scheduled from 10 am to 5 pm at CS/IS Seminar Hall of Golden Jubilee Bhavan, SJCE. This is the fifth consecutive effort alternatively organised at SJCE and NIE on yearly basis.
Renowned speakers, Dr. Sivakumar Babu, President of Indian Geotechnical Society and Professor at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru; Dr. A. Veeraragavan, Professor of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai; Dr. Anil Joseph, Member of National Executive Council of Indian Geotechnical Society and Managing Director of Geo Structurals (P) Ltd., in Cochin and Er. U.M. Raghavendra, Head of Land & Offshore Foundations, Soil Testing Services from Bengaluru will deliver lectures in the areas of Geosynthetic reinforced pavements, Challenges in Highway engineering, Issues in Geotechnical investigation and Protections against deep excavation.
The focus of the proposed workshop is on introducing modern methods in geotechnical aspects of infrastructure development to engineers from Mysuru region. Architects, Builders, Consultants, Developers, Engineers and students can benefit from the workshop.
